Barged in on the guys at Auto Stop with an A/C unit that wasnt working. Driving from Idaho to North Dakota with forecasted temps above 90°. I was between a rock and a hot place. They gave me a bump to the front of the line. Quoting process was upfront and honest. Service was great! I was informed of the details along the way. Turned out it didn't need a recharge, it needed a part. With a different course in mind, they didnt charge me for the recharge. Charged me a reasonable rate for diagnostics, labor, ans had the part installed in less than an hour. So impressed. If you're in need of a good mechanic and aren't interested in the corporate shenanigans of some of those other places, give these guys a call. Highly recommend.

I have used Auto Stop for two different vehicles I have driven, and all their maintenance is timely. They operate their shop with integrity and thoroughly explain every service they complete. I appreciate them walking me through their diagnostic process. Not to mention they also have very reasonable prices, which I appreciate!

Broke down, they got to my car quickly, and in a reasonable time frame, they kept open communication and they fixed the issues without trying to up sale me on anything else. I was hoping I didn’t blow a transmission and once they looked it over they replaced the transmission coolant lines and got the car back on the road within a few days. Thank you for the quick service and easy communication during the whole process. I would recommend this shop to anyone in the area

Had a strut bolt leave the chat on i90 while passing through Bozeman. The boys jumped right on it and with some good ol fashioned creative problem solving, had me back on the road rippin more windshield time in about 2 hours. Made it to whitefish in time for dinner! If I lived here, I’d have them changing my oil a 1000 sooner just cause. Appreciate it my dudes!

After researching and careful consideration of the power of suction nearest to the wad of cash clutched in my fist or the myriad of details I was to inevitably receive disguised as utter bs and to how much of it I would pretend to believe just to satisfy that thing called- justification effect, I decided to give these guys a go. Did I enjoy the experience? In the end, yes. Was it cheap? No. These guys are competent, at least with the repairs rendered, and it was yes, detailed, but most of these repairs I knew about beforehand. My research led me to believe that they are probably inline with other quality shops in Bozeman regarding expense. I know, Bozeman mechanics aren’t cheap. If you do find one to do it much cheaper do your dd and tread with caution. But I must say after all said and done, the finished product drives exceptionally and I am happy with the experience. These guys were kind and professional and devoid of any outlier add ons except one. Though the signage is evident throughout the shop, I still find it challenging to accept a 3% charge for use of a debit card as I would find no other safe way to pay other than armored van for the amount I extended.
